317a. Shagreen of sternite II anteriorly of small, sturdy points in distinct transverse rows. Fringe of anal lobe with more taeniae (32-37).

317b. Shagreen of sternite II anteriorly of minute points of differing size with little tendency to be grouped in transverse rows. Fringe of anal lobe usually with fewer taeniae.
