Diagnosis (n=1)
Exuviae 3.6mm long.
Cephalothorax: Thoracic horn absent.
Abdomen: Tergite III with a small median anterior transverse point patch, IV with an anterior crescentic point patch, concave posteriorly, continued from the lateral extremities posteriorly as spine bands that extend to three-quarters the segment length, and V with an anterior pair of point patches, medially joined by narrower points. Comb of segment VIII 25µm wide, with six marginal teeth.
Anal segment: Fringe of anal lobes with 21 taeniae.
Distribution: From a far northern lake.

Tanytarsini gen.? sp.? Pe1 new form (coll. W.P. Coffman.)
Exuviae 2.1, 2.4mm long.
Cephalothorax: Cephalic tubercles very small, conical; frontal setae taeniate, 62, 70µm long, 14µm wide. Antennal sheath with a very small conical projection. Thoracic horn 180, 190 µm long, with setae confined to apex 20, 24µm long; ThR 6.3, 10.
Abdomen: Length hook row II 0.26, 0.29x width tergite; hooks 39, 51. Tergites II-VI nearly covered with strong points, on VII reduced to anterior and posterior transverse bands. Pedes spurii B II hardly perceptible. Lateral taeniae of segments V-VIII: 3,4,4,3. Postero-lateral corners of segment VIII with a large spur.
Anal segment: Fringe of anal lobes with 15-17 taeniae.
