Thienemannimyia fusciceps

Exuviae 5.7-6.6mm long (m=6.1mm, n=12). Golden brown.
Cephalothorax: Thoracic horn 265-300µm long (m=286µm, n=9); ThR 2.2-4.3 (m=3.0, n=10) (012f.jpg). Thoracic horn moderately to broadly swollen apically; proximal part of atrium straight or nearly so (013o.jpg).
Abdomen: Armament of tergite I composed of elongate, tapering spinules resembling those on tergite II (012g.jpg). Lateral taeniae of segments I-VIII 5,6,6,6,6,6,5,5 (013p.jpg ; 013q.jpg). Anterior lateral taenia of segment VII at 0.21-0.33 of length segment VII (m=0.27, n=10). Anterior lateral taenia of segment VIII at 0.52-0.62 of length segment VIII (m=0.56, n=10).
Anal segment: Anal lobe ratio 1.9-2.3 (m=2.1, n=11). Insertion of anterior anal taenia at 0.42-0.47 of lobe length (m=0.45, n=10).
