Hydrobaenus spinnatis

Diagnosis (Material in coll. ZSM)
Exuviae 3.3-4.2mm long (n=8).
Cephalothorax: Frontal setae on frontal apotome, 70-100µm long (n=5). Thoracic horn 308-345µm long (n=8), rounded apically, small-toothed (041d.jpg); ThR 4.8-6.3 (n=7).
Abdomen: Tergites without a median transverse row of strong points. Tergites III-V between the dorsal setae with more or less evenly distributed small points, which are gradually a little larger posteriorly on each segment. Three or four lateral setae on segments II-VI, not taeniate; lateral taeniae of segments VII and VIII: 4,4.
Anal segment: Anal lobe ratio 1.6-2.0 (n=5). Fringe of anal lobe with 17-22 short taeniae (n=6); longest 75-105µm long (n=5), 0.25-0.35x length of the anal lobe (n=4). Three anal macrosetae on each anal lobe, setae weakly hooked apically, 0.95-1.2x length of the anal lobe (n=6) (041e.jpg).
