Cladopelma laterale

Author: (Goetghebuer, 1934)

Diagnosis
Exuviae 3.7-4.7mm long (m=4.2mm, n=9).
Cephalothorax: Cephalic tubercles conical, 50-65µm high (m=58µm, n=6), smooth or with a few small teeth (108a.jpg). Thoracic granulation weak, obvious only by suture.
Abdomen: Hook row II medially interrupted, length of row 0.10-0.15 (0.05-0.12 gap) 0.10-0.17x width tergite (n=3); hooks 10/10-14/13 (n=6). Tergites II-V without a distinct unbroken posterior row or band of strong points. Tergite VI with a small oval swelling bearing noticeably larger points in the middle of the posterior transverse band, with setae D3 set under its lateral edges (109c.jpg). Conjunctive III/IV armed with small sharp spinules. Sternite I occasionally with posterior transverse point band; antero-laterally with only one patch of spines, which may be well-developed or reduced to one or two teeth. Sternite II with an anterior transverse point band and posterior band weakly represented. Comb of segment VIII of 1/1-2/2 thorns. Lateral taeniae of segments V-VIII: 4,4,4,4.
Anal segment: Fringe of anal lobe with 30-38 taeniae (m=33, n=8) (Lenz, 1941b: 29-44 (m=35)).
