Diagnosis
Exuviae 4.4-7.3mm long (n=7).
Cephalothorax: Cephalic tubercles 45µm long; length 0.55x breadth (n=2). Thoracic horn much branched. Thorax with a patch of conspicuously larger granules by suture (112b.jpg). Posterior thoracic mound not strongly swollen anteriorly, broadly swollen posteriorly and without a long conical posterior projection.
Abdomen: Tergite armament of Parachironomus-pattern; except: tergite II without armament. Hook row II on the posterior edge of a projecting flap of the tergite (110g.jpg); length of row 0.20-0.32x width tergite (n=5). Posterior points of tergite VI conspicuously larger than those preceding. Vortex present. Sternite I without toothed humps. Comb of segment VIII of 2-8 small colourless spines in the apico-lateral corner near the bases of the fourth and fifth lateral taeniae (m=3.1, n=14) (112d.jpg). Lateral taeniae of segments V-VIII: 4,4,4,5.
Anal segment: Fringe of anal lobe with 53-122 taeniae (n=7).
