Cryptochironomus obreptans

Exuviae 9.1-10.3mm long (n=4).
Cephalothorax: Cephalic tubercles 240-360µm long; 2.4-3.0x higher than broad (n=3) (113f.jpg). Dorsal anterior thoracic mound present (113g.jpg).
Abdomen: Hook row II medially interrupted with the gap narrower than the length of the row on one side, length of row 0.24-0.36 (0.02-0.06 gap) 0.24-0.36x width tergite (n=4). Tergites II-VII with a complete posterior transverse row or narrow band of strong points; points II-VII: 27-48, 29-51, 33-45, 30-47, 28-41, 29-40 (n=4). If reticulation is present, it is much reduced and never continuous across tergites I-V. Comb of segment VIII absent. Lateral taeniae of segments V-VIII: 4,4,4,5.
Anal segment: Fringe of anal lobe with 97, 99 taeniae (n=2). Forked anal processes present (113e.jpg).
