Rheocricotopus chalybeatus

Diagnosis
Exuviae 2.5-3.7mm long (m=3.1mm, n=16).
Cephalothorax: Thoracic horn small-toothed, 180-260µm long (m=224µm, n=16); ThR 5.1-6.8 (m=6.0, n=11) (046f.jpg).
Abdomen: Tergites without a median transverse row of strong points. Tergites III-VIII with restricted shagreen, tergite VII with conspicuous large points posteriorly, posterior margin of tergite VIII armed at most with small points (046g.jpg). Three or four lateral setae on segments II-VI, not taeniate; lateral taeniae of segments VII-VIII: 4,5.
Anal segment: Anal lobe ratio 1.5-1.9 (m=1.7, n=14). Fringe of anal lobe with 19-26[35] taeniae (m=23, n=18).

Distribution
Palaearctic species: widespread in Europe (not Fennoscandia), circum-Mediterranean, see also Rheocricotopus chalybeatus bicoloratus.
