Abiskomyia paravirgo

Diagnosis (Material in coll. ZSM)
Exuviae 4.0-4.6mm long (n=7) (055-1.jpg).
Cephalothorax: Thoracic horn 238-300µm long; ThR 2.9-4.0 (n=4). Thorax anteriorly densely armed with elongate teeth (055b.jpg).
Abdomen: Tergites IV-VI with an antero-median circular point patch (055c.jpg). Apical hooked points of tergites IV and V with swollen bases and reduced hooks which generally do not reach to the anterior edge of the base, giving the appearance of a band of elongate granules, rather than hooks.
Anal segment: Anal lobe ratio 1.7-2.1 (n=5). Anal segment long, distance from base to tip of apical projections about equal to the total width of the segment; apical projections longer (055d.jpg). Anal lobes without fringe.
