Clinotanypus nervosus

Diagnosis
Exuviae 9.7-10.6mm long (n=3) (009-1.jpg).
Cephalothorax: Thoracic horn 650, 700µm long, broad, widening to near apex which is occupied by the large plastron plate (009b.jpg); ThR 2.16, 2.19 (n=2). Thorax comb absent.
Abdomen: Mark on segment I elongate. Lateral taeniae of segments VII and VIII: 6, 5 (n=1).
Anal segment: Anal lobes with a rounded internal posterior projection, the margin fringed with taeniate setae as long as those on segment VIII (009c.jpg). Anal lobe ratio 1.92, 1.97 (n=2).

Distribution
Palaearctic species: widespread in Europe.

Ecological notes
Stagnant dykes and rivers.
Larvae in fine sediments in reach of warmer surface water of ponds and lakes or stagnant to slowflowing sections of rivers and streams (Janecek, 1999a).
