Diagnosis (Material in coll. ZSM; data from Reiss, 1969a)
Exuviae 4.8mm long.
Cephalothorax: Cephalic tubercles conical, 64µm high. Frontal setae 123-210µm long (n=3). Antennal sheath base without swelling. Thoracic horn 350µm long, extending from the basal bulb, not strongly bent at base; ThR 7.3. Thoracic horn seta 188-243µm long, 0.70-1.29x horn length (n=7). Posterior thoracic mound moderately swollen. Pearl row absent.
Abdomen: Length hook row II 0.32, 0.33x width tergite (n=2); hooks 70-87 (n=4) (146f.jpg). Tergite II without anterior point patches; tergites IV and V with a pair of transverse, slightly oblique point patches (sometimes narrowly joined medially), frequently grading into spines laterally and posteriorly. Tergites VII and VIII with very restricted armament or smooth. Comb of segment VIII 38-48µm wide (n=4), set on the postero-lateral corner of the segment; comb with 5-7 marginal teeth (n=8). Lateral taeniae of segments V-VIII: 0,0,0,0.
Anal segment: Anal lobe ratio 0.95-1.09 (n=4). Fringe of anal lobe with 14-16 taeniae (n=8); fringe restricted to the posterior half of the lobes.
