Diagnosis (material leg. Frieder Reiss.)
Exuviae 6.7-7.3mm long (n=7).
Cephalothorax: Cephalic tubercles 80-110µm long (n=4); frontal setae 40-42µm long (n=3).
Abdomen: Hook row II entire, length 0.53-0.59x width tergite II; hooks 43-55 (n=6). Tergite VII with a posterior transverse row of strong points. Pedes spurii B II small. Lateral taeniae V-VIII: 4,4,4,4/5.
Anal segment: Anal processes not forked. Lateral taeniae segment IX 87-113 (n=7).

Note: Doubtfully placed in this genus. The specimens are strange, splitting Harnischia and Cryptochironomus on characters. ? Harnischia pe and Cryptochironomus ussouriensis (Goetghebuer) as described by Shilova (1959) will key out at the same point. See latter species for distinguishing characters.
