Diagnosis
It is possible that the following 4 species have exuviae of this form:
Neozavrelia bernensis Reiss, 1968
Neozavrelia fuldensis Fittkau, 1954
Neozavrelia improvisa Fittkau, 1954
Neozavrelia luteola Goetghebuer, 1941
Two associated series (N. fuldensis and N. luteola) reveal that the exuviae are extremely alike and cannot yet be separated. The exuviae are found both in running and stagnant water and this may represent specific habitat differences.
