Pseudosmittia baueri

Author: Strenzke, 1960

Diagnosis (Material in coll. ZSM)
Exuviae 2.2-2.7mm long (n=4).
Cephalothorax: Thoracic horn absent. Median antepronotal setae 1,2: 40; 65µm long; precorneal setae 1-3: 58; 55; 40µm long; dorsocentral setae 1-4: ?; 33; 15; 60µm long (n=1).
Abdomen: Tergite I unarmed; II-VIII, apart from small bare patches, covered with more or less evenly sized points. Anterior and posterior points of tergites considerably larger than the median points (071d.jpg); on VI-VIII the band of small points is as wide or wider than the anterior band of stronger points (070b.jpg). Postero-median points of tergites obviously smaller than those in front and behind, resulting in a transversely striped appearance. Conjunctives armed both dorsally and ventrally; ventral conjunctival transverse point bands on IV/V-VII/VIII less than half the preceding segment width, that on IV/V less than 2.5x the width of that on III/IV.
Anal segment: Anal lobes without fringe.
