Orthocladius rivinus

Diagnosis
Exuviae 4.1-6.1mm long (n=5) (077-2.jpg).
Cephalothorax: Thoracic horn elongate, 375-495µm long (n=5) (077h.jpg); ThR 5.1-8.6 (n=5). Four dorsocentral setae, the first, third and fourth thick, the second conspicuously thinner.
Abdomen: Hook row II a discrete pad or band of hooks, less than 0.34x width of segment II, usually of three or more transverse rows of hooks. Posterior point band on tergite III extending further laterally than the apical band (077i.jpg). Pedes spurii B on segment II conspicuous. All, or most, of the setae on sternite III forked or branched, this occurring to a lesser extent on sternites II and IV.
Anal segment: Anal lobe ratio 1.3-1.7 (n=3). Anal lobes with additional teeth apically; fringe absent. Length of anal macrosetae 0.71-0.85x length of the anal lobe (n=4) (077j.jpg).
