Eukiefferiella tirolensis

Exuviae 2.4-3.2mm long (n=11).
Cephalothorax: Thoracic horn 257-400µm long, broadest at base, tapered to apex, more strongly tapered over the basal half (052k.jpg). Length horn base 0.25-0.37x length horn (n=11); ThR (base) 1.8-2.9 (n=11). Median antepronotal setae 1,2: 110-150; 80-100µm long (n=5); precorneal setae 1-3: 105-130; 125-135; 50-65µm long (n=3); dorsocentral setae 1-4: 35-55; 30-50; 55-80; 0-33µm long (n=5), fourth dorsocentral seta, when present, always smaller than the robust third seta. Thorax smooth. Pearl row absent.
Abdomen: Hook rows on tergites widely broken medially, hooks III 3/4-6/7, IV 4/5-7/9, V 3/3-8/7 (n=11). Abdominal segments II-V dorsally nearly covered with small points except for the adhesion marks; VI-VIII progressively less extensively armed (no anterior transverse band of strong points). Shagreen restricted to an anterior transverse band. Tergites II-VIII with a posterior band of points which diminish in size laterally, longest points III 8-10µm; IV 8µm long (n=5). Segment VIII with two strong lateral setae.
Anal segment: Anal lobe ratio 1.8-2.6 (n=8). Fringe absent, anal macrosetae conspicuous, 0.95-1.0x length of the anal lobe (n=5).
