Thoracic horn gradually expanded for about 2/3rds its length, thereafter narrowed evenly to a pointed apex; covered with large, prone, triangular points; without plastron plate; respiratory atrium rounded apically, only 3/4ths the length of the horn (fig. b). Segments III-VI laterally fringed with taeniae; 6 lateral taeniae on segment VII and 5 on VIII (fig. a).

18b. Thoracic horn not of this form and structure. Abdominal segments with at most 6 lateral taeniae on segments III-VI. When anal lobes of this general form, the apical tubercle is pointed and surmounted by small teeth at most a little larger than the neighbouring teeth of the fringe (006f.jpg).
