410a. Exuviae usually very transparent, sometimes infuscated. Precorneal setae taeniate, inserted on a conspicuous swelling. (Tergites II-VI each with an anterior pair of point patches. Segment VIII with 5 lateral taeniae. Thoracic horn less than 400µm long, or absent.)

410b. Exuviae usually considerably darkened. If precorneal setae taeniate they are not set on a bulbous mound.
