Key: Step 404. Tanytarsini 47 Rheotanytarsus

404a. 4 lateral taeniae on segment VIII. Thoracic horn with setulae (about 8µm long) distally (134h.jpg). The point patches are golden to golden brown; the shagreen on tergites II-VI may be absent but when well-developed it is restricted to lateral extensions of the anterior point patches (134i.jpg) and on V and VI it spreads posteriorly to about half the tergite length; Note Ti047.

Step 405. Tanytarsini 48 Rheotanytarsus

404b. 2 or 3 lateral taeniae on segment VIII. Thoracic horn without setulae (135b.jpg). Shagreen on tergites II-VI more extensive, especially on anterior tergites, extending the length of the tergite (135a.jpg); no posterior transverse point band on tergite II.
