Pseudosmittia arenaria

Author: Strenzke, 1960

Diagnosis (Material in coll. ZSM)
Exuviae 2.5-2.7mm long.
Cephalothorax: Thoracic horn absent. Median antepronotal setae 1,2: 30; 63µm long; precorneal setae 1-3: 50; 25; 30µm long; dorsocentral setae 1-4: 35; 40; 30; 20µm long (n=1).
Abdomen: Tergite I unarmed; II-VIII, apart from small bare patches, covered with more or less evenly sized points. Postero-median points of tergites obviously smaller than those in front and behind, resulting in a transversely striped appearance. On tergites VI-VIII the median transverse band of small points is narrower than the anterior band of larger points; on VIII the median points may be missing leaving a transverse smooth band. Conjunctives armed both dorsally and ventrally.
Anal segment: Anal lobes without fringe.
