Diagnosis (Material in coll. ZSM; in part after Armitage and Tuiskunen, 1988a - in italics)
Exuviae 2.4mm long.
Cephalothorax: Frontal setae obviously lacking; frontal warts normally developed; one postorbital seta present; verticals absent. Thoracic horn absent; 2 moderately developed medial antepronotals, 3 precorneals of about equal length; 4 dorsocentrals, 2 of which very short; thorax somewhat rugulose dorsally; wing sheaths smooth, without pearl row and nose.
Abdomen: Tergite armament restricted to anterior and posterior transverse bands. Apical hook rows present on tergites III-VII(VIII) and sternites V-VIII. Pedes spurii A poorly developed on sternites II-VI, pedes spurii B absent. One lateral seta on each segment.
Anal segment: Tergite IX without lateral spines. Anal lobes present, truncate posteriorly; fringe absent.
