Rheotanytarsus pentapoda

Author: (Kieffer, 1909)

Diagnosis
Exuviae 3.2-3.9mm long (m=3.6mm, n=12).
Cephalothorax: Frontal apotome smooth. Thoracic horn 300-470µm long (m=393µm, n=14), with setulae (about 8µm long) distally (134h.jpg); ThR 10.8-23.5 (n=9). Pearl row absent.

The postero-lateral corner of segment VIII bears a simple, cleft or toothed spur, or three spurs, of which the outermost is the strongest and bent as a hook. Lateral taeniae of segments IV-VIII: 1,3,4,4,4.
Anal segment: Fringe of anal lobe with 16-21 taeniae (m=18.4, n=12).
