Cricotopus coronatus

Diagnosis (Material in coll. ZSM; in part after Hirvenoja, 1973a: p. 214 (key), p. 224 - in italics)
Exuviae 4.2-4.8mm long. Hyaline, abdominal segments II-VI golden.
Cephalothorax: Cephalic tubercles absent; frontal setae on frontal apotome. Antennal sheath base at most with a very weak projection. Thoracic horn colourless, 11-18µm wide (m=13µm, n=13), 80-121µm long (m=105µm, n=13), apically pointed, surface with small spines.
Abdomen: Hook row II with 55-91 (m=72.9, n=17) hooks in 2-3 transverse rows, hook row preceded by some blunt spines. Tergites III-VI shagreened, anterior and posterior transverse bands clearly separate, anterior bands wider than long, kidney-shaped. Point patches absent on tergites VII and VIII. Moderately developed pedes spurii B on II, weakly developed on III. Dorsal setae I-VIII: 4,4,4,5,5,5,5,2; Lateral setae I-VIII: 1,3,3,3,3,3,3-4,4; Ventral setae I-VIII: 1,4,4,4,4,4,4,0; lateral seta 4 on VIII slightly stronger than the other lateral setae.
Anal segment: Anal lobes without fringe. Anal macrosetae more or less equally strong, about 2/3– 3/4x length anal segment.
