Limnophyes gelasinus

Diagnosis (n=1, material in coll. ZSM)
Exuviae 2.3mm long.
Cephalothorax: Thoracic horn reduced to a small tubercle. Precorneal setae small. Thorax more or less smooth.
Abdomen: Tergites with an anterior transverse bands of strong points and the posterior margin armed with long narrow spines. Posterior long spines IV 35, VI 32. Longest spine IV 40µm, VI 40µm long. Paratergite IV armed with small points. Conjunctival membranes II/III-VII/VIII armed with small points. Pedes spurii A absent. Lateral setae IV 105µm long. Segment VIII with 5 long lateral setae, fourth seta 90µm long.
Anal segment: Anal lobes smooth. Anal macrosetae of anal lobes long, 1.0x length anal lobe, setae thin and usually curved.
