Psectrocladius barbimanus

Author: (Edwards, 1929)

Diagnosis
Exuviae 5.8-9.4mm long (m=6.9mm, n=22) (049-1.jpg).
Cephalothorax: Frontal setae present. Thoracic horn 435-770µm long (m=545µm, n=27), small-toothed; ThR 3.2-5.8 (m=4.4, n=21).
Abdomen: Tergites III-VIII with restricted shagreen, at least on VII and VIII. Tergites with median point patches paired, at least on tergites IV and V; if joined, only by a few scattered points. Points of point patches large, the longest greater than 35µm long, usually obviously exceeding the length of the longest tooth of the posterior transverse rows. Three or four lateral setae on segments II-V, not taeniate; four lateral taeniae or setae present on segment VI; if (rarely) all are reduced to setae, the most posterior is the most conspicuous. Lateral taeniae of segments VI-VIII: (3)4(5),4,5.
Anal segment: Anal lobe ratio 1.7-2.1 (m=1.9, n=30). Anal lobes rounded apically, without teeth. Fringe of anal lobe with 44-90 taeniae (m=67, n=31). 6-9 apical setae on anal lobes (m=6.5, n=62).
