Limnophyes ninae

Diagnosis
Exuviae 2.5mm long (n=1).
Cephalothorax: Thoracic horn reduced to a small tubercle. Precorneal setae small. Thorax more or less smooth.
Abdomen: Tergites generally covered with small points, larger anteriorly. Tergites I(II)-VIII with at least the posterior margin armed with long narrow spines. Posterior long spines IV 54-68, VI 37-41 (n=4). Longest spine IV 45-50µm long, VI 43-50µm long (n=4). Conjunctives II/III-VII/VIII armed with small points. Pedes spurii A absent. Lateral setae of segment IV 105-150µm long (n=4). Four long lateral setae on tergite VIII, the fourth reduced to a small hair.
Anal segment: Anal lobes smooth, without fringe. Anal macrosetae of anal lobes long, 0.88-0.94x length of the anal lobe (n=4), setae thin and usually curved.
