Diagnosis (in part after Hirvenoja, 1973a - in italics)
Exuviae 4.3-5.7mm long (m=5.2mm, n=19) (091-1.jpg).
Cephalothorax: Frontal setae on frontal apotome, 60-100µm long (n=5). Thoracic horn 40-110µm long (m=68µm, n=16), with spinesl; ThR 2.4-7.1 (m=4.1, n=12).
Abdomen: Length hook row II 0.48-0.63 of width tergite II (n=5); hooks 79-103 (n=8). Tergite II without a point patch. Armament of tergites III-V not extending past the anterior adhesion marks (though there may be some scattered small points in the antero-lateral corners of the tergites); median and posterior transverse bands rarely joined. Median point bands of tergites III-V noticeably less extensive laterally than the posterior transverse band, deep, extending longitudinally over most of the second and third quarter of the tergite, and more or less rectangular in shape (091c.jpg). Point patches absent on tergites VII and VIII. Pedes spurii B II weakly developed, absent? on III. Dorsal setae I-VIII: 4,4,4-5,5,5,5,5,2; Lateral setae I-VIII: 1,3,3,3,3,3,4,4; Ventral setae I-VIII: 3,3,4,4,4,4,4,0; lateral seta 4 on VIII stronger than the other lateral setae.
Anal segment: Anal lobe ratio 1.3-1.9 (n=6). Anal lobes without fringe. All three anal macrosetae more or less equally strong, 0.35-0.51x length of the anal lobe (m=0.46, n=12).
