Diagnosis (n=1, in part after Fittkau, 1962a)
Exuviae 5.6mm long.
Cephalothorax: Thoracic horn 300µm long; ThR 2.9. The greatest diameter of the plastron plate at most a quarter the length of the thoracic horn; rim twice the diameter of the plastron plate (015d.jpg). Plastron plate 70x55µm; 0.53x width rim. Width horn atrium 0.32 of horn breadth. Thorax comb reduced to large rounded or pointed tubercles.
Abdomen: Armament of simple and forked spinules only. Segment VII with 4 lateral taeniae, anterior taenia at 0.62 of length segment VII. Anterior lateral taenia of segment VIII at 0.53 of length segment VIII.
Anal segment: Anal lobes with the inner margin convex and with few teeth; outer margin concave with numerous strong teeth; lobe apex spine-like, turned outward. Anal lobe ratio 2.0. Anal lobe with 2 taeniae straddling middle of lobe length, insertion of anterior anal taenia at 0.42 of lobe length.

Larva in moss in a moderately fast flowing stream; central Germany.
