Diagnosis
Exuviae 4.6-6.2mm long (n=5).
Cephalothorax: Frontal setae 30µm long (n=1). Thoracic horn 163-225µm long; ThR 5.8-8.1 (n=5). Precorneal setae 1-3: 45, 55; 70-75; 73-93µm long (n=2,3,4) (very brittle and often broken).
Abdomen: Segment II without pedes spurii B. Armament of abdominal tergites more extensive; segment VIII also armed antero-medially. Segment VIII not laterally projecting to the rear. Abdominal segments without lateral fringe. Lateral taeniae of segment VII and VIII: 4, 5; not branched.
Anal segment: Anal lobe ratio 1.3-1.6 (n=5). Fringe of anal lobe with 22-29 taeniae (n=5). Anal lobes rounded, with five macrosetae; each lobe besides the four apical seta-bearing tubercles with another displaced anteriorly.
Note: Prodiamesa rufovittata Goetghebuer as described by Pagast (Pagast, 1947a: p. 540, 541) is identical to specimens attributed to Prodiamesa delphinensis Serra-Tosio. However, Pagast only compared rufovittata with olivacea, consequently omitting details which could have been useful: further progress must await positively associated series of both species.
