Diagnosis (n=1, leg. J. Moubayed; and data from Kügler and Reiss, 1973a: p. 68 – Tanytarsus hulensis and nigricornis.)
Exuviae 5.3 (2.9-4.1)mm long.
Cephalothorax: Cephalic tubercles shallow mounds; frontal setae short, 80 (60, 65)µm long. Thoracic horn smooth, 340 (220, 500)µm long and narrow, distally tapering; ThR 17 (18.5). Cephalic suture smooth. Wing sheaths with distinct nose, pearl row absent.
Abdomen: Tergite I without shagreen; II almost covered with points, without an anterior pair of point patches; III and IV with diverging spine bands, the bands with antero-lateral points; V with point patch less than half the length of the tergite. Tergites IV and V with the armament arranged in longitudinal bands, on tergite IV the antero-median patches are paired. Longest spine tergite III 110; IV 14µm long. Armament of tergite IV 168µm long. ArR III-V 1.8 : 1.0 : 0.71. Comb of segment VIII broad, 110µm wide, with posterior edge straight and 17 (7-8) projecting awl-shaped teeth (n=5). Lateral taeniae of segments V-VIII: 1,2(1),3(1,4),5(5).
Anal segment: Fringe of anal lobes with 92 (45-50) taeniae.
