Diagnosis (in part after Borkent, 1984a - in italics)
Cephalothorax: Thoracic horn much branched, short and of moderate thickness. Thorax with conspicuously large granules near suture (112b.jpg).
Abdomen: Hook row II medially interrupted, not extending for most of the width of the tergite. Tergites II-VI and sternites II-IV shagreened; anterior points on tergites II-III markedly larger than posterior points. Tergites VII and VIII armed anteriorly. Comb of segment VIII with teeth of unknown coloration, with 1 elongate, large tooth and 1-2 elongate accessory teeth. Tergite VII with restricted armament. Vortex absent. If conjunctive V/VI armed with points, comb of segment VIII present.
Anal segment: Anal lobes shagreened. Male genital sheaths exceeding the anal lobes.
