Cryptotendipes acalcar

Author: Reiss, 1990

Diagnosis
For a description of the pupal exuviae see Reiss, 1990b (p. 210). According to Reiss the pupal exuviae and larval stages are so unlike those of the other members of the genus, for instance the exuviae with the thoracic horn somewhat elongated but not extremely so in the manner characteristic for the genus, that the creation of a monotypic genus was also considered. The adult males are very similar to Cryptotendipes darbyi (Sublette).
