Welcome to the "Chironomidae exuviae - A key to pupal exuviae of the West Palaearctic Region"
This project is part of the series Interactive Identification System for the European Limnofauna (IISEL). This series offers a novel electronic approach to the identification of the limnofauna of northwestern Europe, and is co-produced by Dutch organizations (RIZA, STOWA), which monitor water quality, and the Expert Center for Taxonomic Identification (ETI).
The present CD-ROM introduces the pupal exuviae of Chironomidae species of the West Palaearctic Region, offering detailed descriptions and an easy-to-use identification tool. ETI produced the software and Peter Langton and ETI editor Henk Visser, compiled all information for this program.
